would love it if the debates in 2016 featured limbaugh, beck and hannity as the sole interrogators. >> look, this is -- i don't understand what they're doing strategically, but man am i glad they're doing it. this is a party that has pledged and said that it needs to expand its reach. but if you look at every single group that they -- that they lost so badly with in 2012, they keep poking them in the eye. and i think what's really going on here, i'm not inside reince priebus's head, but i think what's going on here is two things. one, this is great for their i think short-term fund-raising. there's a few things that conservative activists like more than to beat up on the liberal media. so this is going to be great for their program. >> plays well for the base. >> but it also limits debates. and by putting them on with rush limbaugh and sean hannity as the hosts, i actually think what they're doing is creating more opportunity for them to highlight some of the more fringe positions of the party which is not really what they ought to be doing. >> i thought that the autopsy made a lot
're looking out for you. >>> welcome to the special audience issue of "hannity." tonight we're joined by best-selling author mark levine and then the studio audience you can see of distinguished guests. but first inside "the liberty amendments, restoring the american republic." now, levin is proposing amendments. mark, the first step towards reclaiming the country that belongs to you, the american people. here to explain, why he wrote the book, author himself, the great one, ladies and gentlemen, welcome mark levin. [ applause ] many ways, you wrote "liberty and tyranny," sold over a million copies. am i right in reading this book and thinking this is like a third in a series? >> you know, it really is. i want people to understand, i'm not running around writing amendments to the constitution. what i'm doing is talking about re-establishing constitutional republicanism because we do not have it today. we can get in to that a little bit later. what i'm saying is unlike our opponents who evade the constitution, eviscerate the constitution, try to centralize the government as much as they can in
of 9/11. hannity gave the organizer a piece of his mind last night. we have the tape next. >>> welcome back to "the five." the million muslim march is causing controversy across the country. yesterday, its organizer sat down with sean hannity to talk about it. he tried to say they just want justice. he told sean hannity we are standing to show we're muslim, denounce terrorism and stand with solidarity that we were victimized 9/11. sean hannity challenged him, said that's not exactly what your statement said. we called care, a moderate muslim organization for comment. they said, eric, they are not getting involved in this rally at all. they have nothing to do with it. they call him an antisemite whack job. he was on "fox and friends" this morning. this is a little strange. >> to be clear, dr. suti isn't part of care, care doesn't want to get involved, it isn't a muslim march, it is a 9/11 truther convention that's going to happen in d.c. i watched that interview with sean and the rabbi and him coming in afterwards. it is obvious what they're up to. trying to say we had nothing to do wit
presidential candidates debate in the next cycle moderated by rush limbaugh. or maybe sean hannity. or somebody else from talk radio. today at the national republican party's annual summer meeting, the party chairman got a sustained standing ovation when he declared, we are done putting up with this nonsense! he got a standing ovation and then a unanimous vote by the rnc to ban cnn and nbc from carrying any republican presidential candidates debates in the next election cycle. ostensible reason is because cnn is planning to do a documentary on hillary clinton's career and nbc entertainment is planning on doing a mini series about hillary clinton's life, which "the new york times" says was to have been produced, actually sort of written and shot and everything, by fox television. so fox would produce it, fox would make the thing, but interestingly, that doesn't bother the republican party. the chairman says they only want to boycott cnn and nbc, because -- because it doesn't have anything to do with hillary clinton. you've got to get rid of mainstream news organizations having anything to do wit
in washington on the anniversary of 9/11. hannity gave the organizer a piece of his mind. we have the tape next. >>> welcome back to "the five." the million muslim march is organizing in the country. his name 1* md rabbi alam and he tried to say they just want justice. he told sean hannity that we are standing to show america we are muslim and we denounce terrorism and we understand with the solidarity that we were villain niecessed and victimized. sean hannity challenged him and said that's not exactly what your statement said. we called care, a moderate muslim organization for comment. they said, eric, they are not getting involved in this rally at all. they have nothing to do with it. they call him an anti-semit whack job. he was on fox and friends and this rally does seem to be a little strange. >> to be clear, he is not part of care. care does president want to be be -- care doesn't want to get involved. this is not a muslim march but it is a truther convention that will happen in dc. i watched that interview with sean and the rabbi and then gasser coming in -- jasser coming in afterwards.
the republicans are very afraid of answering that question and they know that a sean hannity will not ask that question. and that's what -- >> sean hannity, sean hannity would ask questions. i do think sean hannity would ask questions to figure out who's on his team in terms of being from the far right or whatever. >> okay. we have just set the new uprecord for cross talking segments. progressives across the country are setting their sights on one candidate in one election that is a month away and we're going to talk to him next. i'd be sitting there with my friends who had their verizon phones and i'd be sitting there like "mine's still loading!" i couldn't get email. i couldn't stream movies. i couldn't upload any of our music. that's when i decided to switch. now that i'm on verizon, everything moves fast. with verizon, i have that reliability. i'm completely happy with verizon. verizon's 4g lte is the most reliable and in more places than any other 4g network. period. that's powerful. verizon. get the nokia lumia 928 for free. it's delicious. so now we've turned her toffee into a busi

floating the idea of having rush limbaugh and sean hannity moderate the debates, they continue with this that rather than accepting change in america, they are catering to that very small dwindling base and figuring out ways to keep everybody else out. >> well, you know, despite those very thoughtful autopsies, which were right about what the republican party needs to do. it is a party largely of aging white voters. clearly, they can't depend on that base if they want to win presidential elections. but there are a lot of aging white voters in their base who don't want to let anybody else in. when reince talked about at the rnc convention over the weekend. when he tried to talk about expanding the base beyond aging white voters. he got very tepid applause. what are other republicans trying to do across the country, trying to restrict voting rights. across the country they're trying to keep blacks and latinos from voting. and alabama, in texas, in north carolina, they're also trying to restrict reproductive rights. trying very, very hard basically to outlaw abortion for any reaso
. see you become here soon on "hannity." stay tuned. fox news continues. >>> tonight, did you trust your government? >> young americans do not trust this government. without trust in government, then you can't do a lot of things. >> what we have going on today is a real erosion of the confidence on behalf of the american public in terms of their trust in government and frankly the faith in their economy. >> the people can't trust not only the executive branch but also don't trust congress and don't trust federal judges, to make sure that we're abiding by the constitution, due process and rule of law then we're going to have some problems here. >> on the heels of the irs scandal, where people don't trust this government, this administration, with their tax records, they sure don't trust this administration with their phone railroads. >> i want to make clear once again america is not interested in spying on ordinary people. >> there's nothing phony about an nsa program that almost failed on the house floor. >> according to data from pew majorities across all groups express little or no tru
got attacked by the right. i got attacked by fox, sean hannity, rush limbaugh, i'm saying all y'all's names out loud, daily caller, all of them. these people called me a b, the c, everything else they could call me except a child of god, okay? and why did they do that? because i had the nerve to critique this american god. small g now, not big g. but they were like, oh, no, you're coming after after god. but, see, i was coming after their god. i was not coming after the god of scriptures, the god that we know of abraham, isaac and jacob. i was coming after the god they worship, racism, the god they worship, white supremacy. so i know this is going to go out everywhere else and, you know, how many times can they e-mail my people, you know, thank god i got a great institution that takes care of me. i have ten your. i can't get fired. [applause] and for the people who call this week to try to get me off panel, i hope you enjoy the show.
